01Why Wu Mala Tang

Not just “flavour” — it's a system for running the shop

01

Guests pick ingredients & control their budget

The weigh-and-pay model lets guests set their own spend, come back more often, and lets the shop control cost-per-plate precisely.

02

Consistent taste across every branch

Our own broth and dipping-sauce recipes are standardised so every branch delivers the same taste.

03

Fast sales in a compact space

A storefront designed to cut unnecessary steps — lean staffing while keeping quality and experience.

04

A brand grown on real content

We grew by understanding customers and using TikTok + storytelling — not by burning huge ad budgets.

02The franchise system

A franchise that lasts needs a back-office system

Not just a recipe — we hand over the whole system so you start without starting from zero.

01

Standardised broth & sauce recipes

Recipes refined through real trial and error, ready to pass on to partners.

02

Storefront cost-control system

Ingredient and weighing systems that genuinely control cost-per-plate.

03

Streamlined storefront SOP

Workflows designed to be fast, lean on staff, and consistent in quality.

04

Marketing & content

A clear approach to building the brand with real content from the shop floor.

05

A distinct brand identity

A brand that understands Thailand's mala market and the new generation.

06

Long-term growth together

Partners don't start from scratch — a hands-on team stands behind you.

03A modern store system

Less staff, fewer errors, consistent standards

We don't just sell a recipe — we sell a “weigh-and-pay mala store system” that controls cost, controls taste, and reduces reliance on people.

Guests weigh their own ingredients, priced automatically

The weighing system prices automatically — minimum 300g, from 87 baht — cutting key-in errors and cost leakage.

Pick soup · spice · numbing · add-ons on POS / Kiosk

Guests choose spice and numbing levels and add-ons on screen; orders only reach the kitchen after payment.

Kitchen Display at the pass

Shows the queue, soup, spice-numbing level and add-ons so the kitchen executes precisely — nothing dropped.

Auto-blanching stove with timers

Times every blanch perfectly so taste stays consistent even with new staff.

Queue calling + LINE OA alerts

Call the queue on the storefront display and notify via LINE OA (opt-in) — no standing around waiting.

Members · coupons · points + per-branch dashboard

A membership and promotion system with a dashboard for per-branch sales — built to scale as a franchise.

This is the moat competitors can't copy with “tasty soup” alone — because it's a full front-of-house and back-office system.

05What makes the taste different

Not just spicy — a whole flavour system

Multiple broths, adjustable spice-numbing-richness-salt, plus 4 dipping sauces and premium, easy-to-cost ingredients.

12Our story

From “a shop that sells well” to “a business that scales”

01Wu Mala Tang didn't start with big capital or a professional team. It started with an ordinary shop owner who saw a real gap in Thailand's mala scene — many shops sell only heat, but lack standards, consistent taste, and cost control.

02So we built a shop system that lets guests choose their own ingredients, control their budget, and eat often — while the shop still manages costs and turns a real profit. We tuned our own broth, cut unnecessary steps, and built a model that sells fast in a compact space.

03We didn't grow by pouring money into advertising. We grew by genuinely understanding customers and the new generation, using TikTok and storytelling as our brand-building tools.

04Today, Wu Mala Tang is evolving from “a shop that sells well” into “a business that scales.” We believe a lasting franchise needs a back-office system, cost control, marketing, and a clear brand identity — and we want to grow alongside partners who want a business of their own.

13Frequently asked

What most people want to know

01How much budget do I need to start a franchise?
Starting budget depends on the package and location. Our team helps assess and plan a budget that fits you — add us on LINE for details and a payback schedule.
02I have no restaurant experience — can I do this?
Yes. We designed the SOP and training for partners who want their own business but don't want to start from zero, with a hands-on team to support you.
03How is storefront pricing? How is it different from the sets?
The storefront is weigh-and-pay: 29 baht per 100g, minimum 300g (from 87 baht), including broth and dipping sauce — pick ingredients by weight and adjust soup, spice, numbing, richness and salt. The 159 / 179 baht sets are a delivery model — popular ingredients plus house broth, designed for easy ordering with clear costs.
04How does the back-office control costs?
We set up ingredient systems, weighing, and storefront SOPs to control cost-per-plate precisely — cutting unnecessary steps and staying lean while keeping quality.
05Is fried mala available for delivery?
For now fried mala is in-store only, because it's slow-fried to drive out moisture for lasting crispiness — we want to perfect quality and timing first.
06How many square metres do I need?
The compact model can start from roughly 12–20 sqm and up, depending on the package and seating. Our team helps assess your actual space.
07How many staff do I need?
The system is designed to run lean — self-weigh auto-pricing and a streamlined SOP. The right number depends on shop size and peak hours; our team helps plan headcount.
08Must all ingredients come from head office?
The flavour-critical items — broth, sauce and central seasonings — come from head office to hold standards. For general ingredients we provide a cost-controlled sourcing approach; the team confirms details per branch.
09Is there a royalty / marketing fee?
Fee terms depend on the package; the team explains everything transparently before you sign. Add us on LINE for package details.
10Do I get a POS / Kiosk system?
Yes — POS / Kiosk / Kitchen Display / queue and a per-branch dashboard are part of the package (feature level depends on the package you choose).
11Is the LINE OA central or per-branch?
We set up LINE OA / membership / coupons with a central, on-brand approach, adapted to your branch — the team helps configure it.
12Opening upcountry — how are ingredients delivered?
We have delivery and storage approaches for upcountry, planning the delivery cycle and stock to fit your location.
13How long is staff training and support?
Staff are trained on the SOP before opening, with support during the real opening and afterwards. Duration depends on the package; the team confirms details.
14If sales are slow, will a team help analyse?
Yes — a per-branch dashboard plus a team to help analyse sales and adjust menu, promotions and marketing after opening.
15Can I make my own TikTok / Facebook content?
Yes, and we encourage it — there's an opening content kit and brand guidance so your branch's content stays consistent.
16Can I get a bank loan — are project documents provided?
We can provide information to support a loan application. Add us on LINE for documents and an initial payback plan for your project file.
